Gordon Member of Parliament Malcolm Bruce is encouraging constituents to get involved in national "Wear It Pink Day" on Friday 28th of October in order to help raise funds in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Mr Bruce commented:

"One in every nine women is affected during their lifetime and each year over 13,000 people in the UK die from breast cancer. There are very few families who don't know someone who has been affected by cancer. This is why I am encouraging as many people as possible to get involved with Breast Cancer Campaign's 'wear it pink' day.

"It's simple to take part, all people have to do is wear something pink for the day and donate £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign. The money raised will be essential if Breast Cancer Campaign are to keep funding their vital breast cancer research, of which four research projects are based in Scotland.''
