Bruce backs Bruce backs Aberdeen pool announcement

Reacting to the news that Aberdeen City Council has approved funding of £5 million for a proposed 50-metre swimming pool, Gordon MP Malcolm Bruce said:

"I very much welcome this announcement which will help make an Olympic standard swimming pool for the North East a reality.

"Having campaigned for better facilities for swimmers in Northern Scotland since the 2012 Olympic decision was announced, I hope that the enormous swimming talent we have in the North East can build on its Commonwealth success and go onto win further medals as part of the British Olympic team. Our world class swimmers deserve world class facilities."
