Carers Rights Day

Carer's Rights Days is the 8th December

Gordon MP Malcolm Bruce is supporting Carer's Rights Day and has added his name to a Parliamentary Motion calling for the recognition of the important contribution that carers' make.

Commenting, Mr Bruce said:

"There are some six million carers throughout the UK who provide unpaid help and support to a frail, ill or disabled relative, friend or partner. Carers Rights Days gives us a good opportunity to acknowledge the work they do, as well as bringing attention to the carer's own welfare. Carers need to aware of the benefits and other support they are entitled to. Many are themselves vulnerable and I hope that as a result of today's events they will be encouraged to seek information that could help make a difference to their lives."
