Gordon MP, Malcolm Bruce, has offered to meet schools affected by Aberdeen City schools closure and merger programme.

The Gordon MP said:

"Communities in the northern part of the City which I represent are affected by the plans and I have already received representations. Stoneywood is affected by closure plans. Middleton Park and Glashieburn, in Bridge of Don are affected by merger proposals as are Newhills and Bucksburn just outside the constituency boundary put serving communities in my Gordon constituency.

"I am more than happy to meet parents, teachers and pupils of the affected schools and ensure their views are communicated to the city authorities and that they are kept fully informed of any proposals, the consultation process and the time scale.

"Work is currently in progress for a replacement to Bankhead Academy and the merger of Upper Westfield and Balgownie into Braehead and I will meet with all those who request it."
