Glen Garioch Distillery

Mr Bruce visited Glen Garioch Distillery as part of British Tourism Week.

Mr Bruce commented, "We should be proud that the North East of Scotland is a fabulous area for tourists to visit, offering something for everyone.

"From the natural features of our wonderful mountains, rivers and coastline, combined with castles and other historic sites, distilleries, hotels, first class food producers and restaurants, and many local craftsmen and women, the tourism industry is immensely important.

"Many tourism businesses are frustrated that the area is not promoted effectively as it might be, especially as visitors often express their surprise and delight at the range of attractions we have to offer.

"By encouraging more people to visit the area, our local town and village shops and businesses will also continue to thrive.

"The tourism industry is a valuable part of the economy and I'm proud to be visiting and supporting local businesses"
